This collection of works from the iconic artist Monte Dolack contains paintings spanning the last two decades. Known for his distinctive style that has drawn admirers worldwide, Dolack selected this collection to encompass the beauty, whimsy, and ironic twists that make his work legendary. Join in this celebration of Dolack's passion for nature, wildlife, and unspoiled landscapes along with a compelling introductory essay by Todd Wilkinson and insights on Dolack's work from contemporaries such as filmmaker Annick Smith, author Rick Bass, artist Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, and actor Jeff Bridges.
About the author: Monte Dolack is the recipient of the University of Montana College of Arts and Media Distinguished Alumnus Award as well as the Montana Governor's Award for the Arts. In 2000, the Missoulian and the Montana Century selected him as one of the 100 most influential Montanans of the 20th Century. Monte has traveled the world over, painting and drawing in Europe, Egypt, Mexico, New Zealand, South America, and Antarctica, creating works that display his interests in differing landscapes and locations as well as mythology and storytelling, as well as his profound love of nature and commitment to preservation.
