Join us on Thursday, November 3rd, at 7 PM for a reading and book signing with poet Amy Rae Pearson from her newest book Poems for Certain Women.
"Poems for Certain Women is a lyric consideration of divorce, and all of its emotional nuances: the joy of new-found freedom, the inescapable grief of loss, new hope, old regret, bitter confusion and -- sometimes -- sweet, sweet clarity. With grace, humor and sometimes painful honesty, Amy Pearson pens her own experience -- and that of others she meets." -- Sandy Compton, author and publisher, Blue Creek Press.
"Poems for Certain Women describes a deep sense of strength, compassion, and determination for the search of self-identity." -- Ashley South, Yaak Valley Forest Council.
"These words drip with authenticity and with each drop I am filled whole with what it is to be wild in my womanhood." -- Mia Kelso, poet.
About the author: Amy started writing poems on the farm where she grew up in north central MT. She continued to write poems through her graduate school years in Missoula and Arizona, through her stint in Japan as a teacher, in the woods of Glacier National Park and The Bob, and currently back on the plains of Great Falls. Poems for Certain Women is Amy’s second collection of poetry; it is dedicated to her Grandma Harriet, also a poet.
